  • KB00033 - BDI2000/BDI3000 Power Supply Options

    Question:
    I would like to use my own universal power supply with my BDI probe.  What are the specs to power the probe?

    Answer:
    If you don't have a power adapter supplied by Abatron, it needs to be powered with a 5VDC supply at
    1.0 to 1.2Amps (Do not exceed 5VDC and/or 6 Watts)

    Note:  Abatron voids the warranty for any unit damaged due to over powering the unit.  It's easy to tell when a unit has been damaged due to over powering the box.

  • KB00036 - BDI2000/3000 - Cables shipped with 20301K & 60301K

    Question:
    What cables do you ship with USI07-20301K and/or USI07-60301K?

    Answer:

    The following cables include:

          QTY (1) USB to RS232 converter cable complete with drivers for Windows XP and Linux.  Note that many notebook computers manufactured today don’t have a standard RS-232 serial port so this cable is required to do your initial BDI setup.  Also note that a standard RS232 to RS232 cable is also provided with the BDI probe so if you order just the AC power Adapter (USI07-20301 for BDI2000 or USI07-60301 for BDI3000), you will get this cable along with a target cable specific to your CPU type.

          QTY (1) Ethernet Patch Cable @ 6 feet

          QTY (1) Cross-Over Ethernet Adapter  (Used when a BDI probe is connected directly to a Workstation's Ethernet Port (No Hub or Swith)

        * QTY (1) AC Power Adapter (US)  Other options (UK/EURO/ASia) are available.  Call for specific information

        * QTY (1) RS232 to RS232 Cabel

        * QTY (1) CPU to BDI Target Cable (The cable style will vary depending on the CPU Type)

        * = Items shipped with Part # USI07-60301 (No "K")
